Latest status
The EU Inc proposal is now under active examination by both co-legislators. The European Parliament's JURI Committee received the Commissioner's presentation on May 4, while the Council Working Party on Company Law completed its fifth examination session on May 6-7. Both institutions are working toward the European Council's end-2026 political target for adoption.

Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath presented the Commission's EU Inc proposal to the European Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) in a formal session. This marks the start of Parliament's detailed examination of the proposal.

The Council Working Party on Company Law held its fifth examination session on the EU Inc proposal over two days. The working party continued technical review of the Commission proposal with member state representatives examining the corporate legal framework provisions.

The presentation was scheduled for the committee meeting on 4-5 May 2026, marking the first formal engagement between the Commission and Parliament's lead committee on the file.
European Parliament JURI CommitteeEU Inc (tuntud ka kui 28. režiim või S.EU) on uus üleeuroopaline ettevõttevorm, mille Euroopa Komisjon esitas 18. märtsil 2026.
