The EU Inc proposal is now under active examination by both co-legislators. The European Parliament's JURI Committee received the Commissioner's presentation on May 4, while the Council Working Party on Company Law completed its fifth examination session on May 6-7. Both institutions are working toward the European Council's end-2026 political target for adoption.

European Parliament JURI CommitteeEU Inc (ook wel het 28e regime of S.EU genoemd) is een nieuwe pan-Europese bedrijfsvorm, voorgesteld door de Europese Commissie op 18 maart 2026. Het creëert één juridisch kader waarmee ondernemers één bedrijf kunnen oprichten en in alle 27 EU-lidstaten kunnen opereren -- zonder aparte entiteiten in elk land.
Vandaag de dag heeft een startup die van Nederland naar Duitsland uitbreidt een nieuwe juridische entiteit nodig, een lokale notaris en maanden papierwerk. EU Inc maakt dat overbodig. Eén registratie, één regelgevend kader, één bedrijf -- in heel Europa. Het daagt het Amerikaanse Delaware-model rechtstreeks uit, dat Europese oprichters tot nu toe moesten gebruiken.
