Parlament und Rat prüfen den EU-Inc-Vorschlag
EU Inc ist weiterhin ein Kommissionsvorschlag im ordentlichen Gesetzgebungsverfahren. Der JURI-Ausschuss berät am 15.–16. Juli 2026 den Berichtsentwurf des Berichterstatters René Repasi; parallel setzt die Ratsarbeitsgruppe Gesellschaftsrecht ihre technische Prüfung fort. Im offiziellen Parlamentsdossier steht die Ausschussentscheidung weiterhin aus.
Die 246 Änderungen in PE790.143v02-00 sind ein Entwurf des Berichterstatters – weder die beschlossene Position des Europäischen Parlaments noch geltendes Recht.

The Council Working Party on Company Law held its tenth examination session on the EU Inc proposal. This was the first session under the Irish Council Presidency, which began on July 1.

Ireland took over the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union on July 1, with the 28th regime explicitly named in its programme. The Irish Presidency will chair Council negotiations on EU Inc through December 2026.

Rapporteur publishes draft JURI report with 246 amendments
René Repasi published his draft report on the EU Inc proposal (PE790.143v01-00), containing 246 amendments to the Commission's text. The 151-page draft represents the rapporteur's opening position and proposes substantial changes including restricted eligibility criteria, deletion of Article 4 on gap-filling national law, a labour-law firewall, prohibition of public listing, and introduction of steward-owned and employee stock ownership variants.
